Day Three August 24, 2009
The backdoor was positioned today by knocking down part of the south wall (visible above). The kitchen window is to its right.

The existing roofline of the family house is visible here. It's very classy glazed japanese heavy ceramic roof tile, so it's a good start to the look for our humble construction. It's below standard height though, so the maximum window height for the new house will be affected by it, unfortunately.

Major progress occurred today. Visible here above are the walls of the bathroom... To its left eventually will be the staircase, and in front of it, the kitchen / breakfast nook.

This was before all those concrete hollow blocks were positioned. A lot of progress in four hours... just the way I like it :-)

What a mess... All this rubble (plus some additional filling material) will raise the floor by about a foot, as per our planned ground level. Flood protection height :-)
